Using key players as “characters” in the story of the conception, construction and experience of the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, Origin used the 2009 Media Kit to tell the tale of two mountains joined at their peaks.
To communicate the world record-breaking nature of the new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola and to simultaneously congratulate and poke fun at Whistler Blackcomb’s envelope-busting reputation, Origin crafted the headline "Over the top? Absolutely." for its winter ad campaign featured in SBC Skier, Powder, Skiing and Freeskier.
In order to speak directly to the youth market, Origin implemented a graffiti-inspired design with a strong focus on action photography. PEAK 2 PEAK was shortened to P2P for this market, with the key message, “From Peaks 2 Powder 2 Pipe 2 Parks.”
To promote the launch of the new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola to core skiers, Origin used aspirational copy and slick photographic styling reminiscent of a luxury car ad, showcasing the world record-breaking gondola’s key selling points in an eight page fold out in Powder magazine.
With a focus on communicating brand, Origin designed Whistler Blackcomb's current website using inspirational imagery to convey the resort's unique product. In addition to the site design, Origin was responsible for the creation of a widget, which communicates up-to-date conditions, weather forecasts and multimedia imagery.
