Origin created Tourism Whistler’s 30-second TV spot promoting Whistler travel before the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. By employing a montage of Olympic and adventure imagery interplayed with Origin-directed and custom-shot footage campaign conveys the victory associated with a Whistler vacation.
In order to promote Whistler as the 2009 winter destination of choice, this “Victory” campaign provides a subtle nod to the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games. By using inspirational photography of people in raising their hands in celebration, Origin paralleled the building energy of the Games and the unique feeling one gets from a Whistler vacation.
For the summer version of the “Energy” campaign, Origin chose dynamic imagery and paired it with the graphic elements of energy cells to communicate Whistler’s unique power to inspire and invigorate. The tagline “Whistler energy. Plug in.” anchored the campaign.
Origin created the headline “Release your bike back into its natural habitat.” and teamed it with high-alpine photography unique to the area to communicate Whistler’s diverse mountain biking product and promote Whistler as a mountain bike mecca to core mountain bike enthusiasts in Bike magazine.
Using an interactive map of the Whistler landscape, this summer rich media campaign uses hotspot functionality, video capability and conceptual design to communicate the wide range of Whistler’s experiences. Compelling headlines and design tie the campaign to Tourism Whistler’s print ads.
